"C.J." I am a "newbie" here at Our House of Hope. My name is C.J.. The "C"
is for when my hair grows back in, Im going to be soooooo cute and the "J" is for because when it happens,
all of the rest of the fosters are going to be jealous. Right now though, I look like a shaved down alpaca. I
was an owner relinquish because they did not have time for me. I'm not sure why they didnt have time. Its not like they
ever chose to take me to a groomer or anything hence, the new hairdo now. I was matted to my skin and was soooo sick with
the doggie flu that I almost died. I figured out that it was getting serious when Our House of Hope hooked up the bag with
happy juice in it [fluids] and stuck me with needles etc.. I wont even mention the cocktail of meds that needed to be forced
down my little throat. They apparently knew what they were doing because this week, I am as good as new and have even started
playing with my toys and my fellow foster pups. I am said to be a Shih Tzu [mix?] between 1-3 years old and am only 8#
right now. I need to gain about 4 pounds yet and then I can be neutered before going to my forever home. I appear to be potty
trained and will bark if I have to go out. STATUS: APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY BEING ACCEPTED
"MOLLY" THE BEAGLE HAS LANDED.................... Out
with the old and in with the new. My owners of the last 8 years took me in to the animal hospital to be euthanized because
they got a new puppy. Thank goodness for my new friends at Best Friends Animal Hospital in Grayslake who told them "no
way!" They knew I was a special dog and have given me a second chance with Our House of Hope. I may be 8 yrs old but,
I act like Im 2 . I am up to date on all of my vaccines, I'm micro chipped, spayed and am potty trained
to perfection. I am a small girl of about 25# . My perfect home would have a solid panel 6' high fenced in yard.
I have a pretty strong prey drive while outside and I love to chase the bunnies. Inside the house, I am the easiest dog on
4 legs. In fact, its been reported from my foster parents that they have to literally "pull me" out of bed in the
morning. Hey, I say if you are comfy, you should just let the sleeping beagle be. STATUS: APPLICATIONS
ARE CURRENTLY BEING ACCEPTED
"LIZZIE" Okay, the secret is out. I came off of the transport truck and someone forgot my right
front leg in Missouri. No worries, I dont need it anyway and you certainly do not want to challenge me in a 3 legged race
because you will likely be eating my dust. I am a beautiful buff colored Lhasa Apso or mix thereof. My guesstimated age is
between 6-8 years old. Ive recently been spayed. I have a low grade heart murmor that causes me no trouble and requires no
medication. Now, you may say "that poor girl" or something to that nature but, Ive got it good with this rescue.
They are getting me everything I need after a very rough life with a breeder. You wont find me bitter or feeling sorry for
myself at all. I am very happy and love everything and everyone. Our House of Hope will be providing me with a boot and are
looking into options regaurding a prosthetic so I can join you on longer walks and will be already to go for the winter months. I
am potty trained too. The rescue has all of my medical records and doctors notes on file for your review if you are interested
in adopting me. I am not currently in need of any medications for anything. I am a low energy, easy going gal that
just wants to hang out with the right family. Older children are okay but, the little tykes scare me because I keep thinking
they are going to fall on me. I get along great with other dogs but, would love to be that special one in your life. 6/22/08 UPDATE: A new prosthetic leg is currently being casted/made for
me to allow me to lead a totally normal life thanks in part to THE LIBERTYVILLE NOON ROTARY who generously provided the funding. STATUS: APPLICATIONS CURRENTLY BEING ACCEPTED
